C & D Services, Inc. (CDSI) is a traditional European craftsmanship company that has brought the European stonemason art to the United States.

The man behind the company is John Cret, a third generation stonemason with more than 30 years experience. John learned this craft from his father and grandfather who worked their entire lives creating lasting structures. At age 14, his father sent John to a stone quarry to apprentice and to learn how to cut the stone from the mountain. After a few years of apprenticeship, he returned home to join the family business where he increased his skills. In 1978 John went to Italy and spent two years training and working in the millennia-old stonemason tradition we can still see and recognize in the Roman monuments and buildings. Once finished with his Italian stay, John came to the United States in 1980. Since his arrival in the U.S., John has worked for major construction companies supervising and training hundreds upon hundreds of stonemasons. The construction projects that he has worked on have taken him throughout the Unites States.

In 1989 Dorel Petrus, a stonemason for more than 13 years and John's eldest son, joined with him and together they worked on numerous projects. However, in 1999, John decided to start his own business and, together with Dorel, C & D Services, Inc. was born. After growing the company gradually in the East coast, John and Dorel have now opened the West coast office joined by John Oradan and Cristian Daniel Cret, his other two sons.

Among the many projects that the Company handles are: walkways, patios, driveways, pool decks, retaining walls and certain water features. CDSI can handle any size project, from a few hundred square feet backyard patios to multi-thousand square feet commercial projects. CDSI warrantees the quality of the workmanship for a period of five years - longer than just about anybody else in the industry. The pavers themselves come with a lifetime warranty. Due to advanced manufacturing techniques, the pavers will look like new forever.
